All the recordings above were made on a Sony Professional WM-D6C Walkman, onto a TDK "D" C90, Type 1 ('Normal') cassette, in Dolby C, using a Sony stereo ECM-202 Electret Condenser microphone.
They were then digitised under Microsoft Windows NT4 through a 'Creative' Sound Blaster SB16 Sound Card, into the excellent and free Audacity Version 1.2.0 (Pre-release 1) Digital Audio Editor.  Audacity's Sample Rate was 44100Hz and Sample Format was "32-bit float".
The resultant "Microsoft 16-bit PCM" WAV files were converted to MP3 format using the Lame 3.93.1 Encoder via Audacity's interface, with MP3 parameters as follows: MPEG 1.0 layer 3, 128kbit, 44100Hz Stereo.
Finally, I zipped (compressed) them using WinZip Version 8.1.  I've published ZIP files because it's not my intention to offer streaming audio from this site (except the 'Striking the Millenium' file as an experiment ).  Please download the ZIP files and unzip them after download, thanks.  There's a link to WinZip below.
